Occupational Therapist School Setting - Murphysboro, IL

Make a real difference for students in a dynamic educational environment as an Occupational Therapist! Two enthusiastic professionals are needed to provide high-quality therapy services for grades K-12 in a supportive, well-resourced setting located near Murphysboro, Illinois. This is a full-time, contract opportunity running from August 2026 through May 2027, with the potential to impact a diverse range of learners. Caseload specifics will be posted shortly.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience in school-based settings highly valued
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and relevant documentation
• Skilled in assessment, treatment planning, and progress monitoring for students with varying needs
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
• Able to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students according to IEP goals
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and create individualized plans for therapy
• Develop and implement engaging intervention activities that promote fine motor, sensory, and functional life skills
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely IEP documentation
• Consult with educators and parents to support student success in the classroom
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting and progress reviews
