This contract opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic OT who enjoys making a difference in the educational setting. You’ll be instrumental in promoting student independence and functional development while serving as a valued collaborator within multidisciplinary teams.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license required
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- School-based or pediatric OT experience preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process and ability to document progress toward goals
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites as assigned
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students with varying needs
- Assess, plan, and document services tailored to each student's IEP
- Support students’ development in fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and related service providers to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goals-setting and progress monitoring
- Maintain detailed records and communicate progress effectively
- Offer creative solutions to facilitate student participation and access to the curriculum
This position is full-time, offering a 40-hour workweek and competitive compensation of $55-$65 per hour.
