Step into a rewarding contract role this fall, providing essential occupational therapy services to young learners in a supportive school environment. This assignment runs from August 14, 2026, through October 30, 2026, filling a leave period and offering the chance to work with students from early childhood through fifth grade—the perfect opportunity to make a positive impact at a pivotal time in their educational journey.
Your day-to-day will focus on two school buildings in the same district, both within a 10-minute drive of each other. The primary caseload includes students in the Early Childhood program (ages 3–5) and elementary-age children in kindergarten through fifth grade. As a valued member of the educational team, you’ll play a crucial role in helping students achieve their goals and thrive in the classroom.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) preferred; COTAs may be considered if supervision can be provided
- Experience with school-based occupational therapy practices for a range of ages and abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and documentation requirements
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services in alignment with student IEPs and 504 plans
- Prepare and conduct evaluations, writing comprehensive reports
- Work closely with teachers, aides, and administration to develop and implement strategies
- Attend team meetings and assist in developing student goals
- Monitor and document progress while supporting the unique needs of approximately 8,000–9,500 service minutes per quarter
