We are seeking three dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTs) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) for contract positions in school settings, ideal for those passionate about supporting students’ growth and development for the 2026-2027 academic year.
You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to students’ success by providing essential therapy services in a collaborative, supportive school environment. One position is located near Rockford, IL, with a commitment of 15 hours per week and caseload details to be determined.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in Illinois
- Previous experience working with students in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to varied caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students per IEP requirements
- Assess, document, and track student progress, maintaining thorough and accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support individualized education plans
- Develop and implement interventions to improve students’ functional abilities within the educational environment
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and support overall team goals
