This contract opportunity involves working with K-12 students and young adults aged 18-21 within both a Transition program and a Behavioral Academy—two specialized programs housed in the same building near Naperville, IL. The role offers a chance to provide critical support through both one-on-one and small group sessions, as well as through ongoing collaboration alongside multidisciplinary teams.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist, registered in Illinois
  • Background in school-based OT required; additional experience with home health or teletherapy highly valued
  • Demonstrates skill in consultative models and the delivery of direct services
  • Familiar with conducting 3-year re-evaluations and annual IEP reviews
  • Experience supporting diverse learner populations, including adolescents and young adults
  • Effective communicator with team members, students, and families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services for students in K-12 and 18-21 transition programs
  • Provide direct, individualized, and group therapy based on students’ IEPs
  • Conduct consults with educators, families, and other service providers
  • Complete timely and accurate evaluations, including mandated 3-year re-evals and IEP annual reviews
  • Participate actively in team meetings and case conferences
  • Support transition goals for students moving toward adulthood and greater independence
