Occupational Therapist School Setting - Naperville, IL

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current state licensure to practice Occupational Therapy (or eligibility)
• Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education processes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for partnering with teachers, staff, and families
• Collaborative mindset and adaptable approach to working with diverse student populations
• Proficiency in common OT assessments, documentation, and intervention planning
• Flexibility to manage a dynamic caseload and varying student needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct OT evaluations, write reports, and contribute to IEP development
• Plan and implement individualized and group therapy sessions to address fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
• Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and data
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic participation and access
• Consult with staff and families to integrate occupational therapy strategies into daily routines
• Provide recommendations for environmental modifications and assistive technology where appropriate
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
