Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations
- Strong knowledge of school-based OT best practices
- Ability to conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Organized, resourceful, and proactive approach to caseload management
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and identify students’ needs within educational settings
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
- Support the development of fine motor, sensory processing, and self-regulation skills
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to integrate strategies into classroom routines
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting for students
