What You’ll Bring:
- Active Connecticut OT license (or COTA license/certification; CT DPH License and passed NBCOT Exam required for COTA applicants)
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued
- Experience supporting students with diverse needs, from Pre-K to 12th Grade
- Reliable transportation to travel between district locations as needed
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Full commitment to fulfill the maternity coverage assignment
Your Impact:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students district-wide, adapting interventions to meet varied developmental and educational needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Monitor and document student progress according to district and state guidelines
- For COTAs, provide therapeutic services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Maintain clear communication with the district’s special education and administrative teams
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that helps students achieve their personal and academic goals
This assignment offers a full-time schedule (approx. 7–7.5 hours per day; final schedule pending district confirmation), working with a dynamic team and making a visible difference for students across a wide age range.
