What You’ll Bring:

  • Active Connecticut OT license (or COTA license/certification; CT DPH License and passed NBCOT Exam required for COTA applicants)
  • Previous school-based experience is highly valued
  • Experience supporting students with diverse needs, from Pre-K to 12th Grade
  • Reliable transportation to travel between district locations as needed
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Full commitment to fulfill the maternity coverage assignment

Your Impact:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students district-wide, adapting interventions to meet varied developmental and educational needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Monitor and document student progress according to district and state guidelines
  • For COTAs, provide therapeutic services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Maintain clear communication with the district’s special education and administrative teams
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that helps students achieve their personal and academic goals

This assignment offers a full-time schedule (approx. 7–7.5 hours per day; final schedule pending district confirmation), working with a dynamic team and making a visible difference for students across a wide age range. The initial contract covers approximately 12 weeks, with potential extensions possible based on district needs.
