Occupational Therapist School Setting in New Castle, CO

Embark on a rewarding journey as a dedicated Occupational Therapist supporting K-12 students throughout the 2026/2027 academic year on a flexible, part-time contract basis. This position, conveniently located near New Castle, CO, provides the opportunity to positively influence student development and success across a diverse caseload, while working 20 hours per week.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active and valid Occupational Therapy license within Colorado (or eligible to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school setting, working with K-12 students, is highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals
• Skilled in electronic documentation and progress reporting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess students’ functional abilities to determine therapy needs and goals
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to address students’ academic and functional challenges
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services within the school environment
• Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to maximize student outcomes
• Maintain thorough records of student progress and provide necessary documentation for IEP meetings and compliance
• Serve as a resource and advocate for integrating therapeutic interventions within the classroom
