Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license (OT) for the state of Delaware (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Knowledge of working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Skill in conducting and interpreting evaluations and assessments
  • Ability to implement individualized therapy plans and participate in IEP processes
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with educators, families, and other related service providers

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on goals tailored to their individual IEPs
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff within ASD-focused classrooms to support student progress
  • Document sessions, update progress notes, and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Participate in the development of strategies and environmental modifications that enhance student engagement and independence
