Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting high school and transition-age students (18-22) as a contract Occupational Therapist this summer. Based in the vibrant area near New Castle, DE, this in-person role focuses on empowering students with diverse needs, helping them develop critical life and educational skills. You’ll make a difference Tuesday through Thursday, with schedules varying by location, providing meaningful therapy during a program running from July 6, 2026 (with an orientation day) through August 6, 2026.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based OT and/or home health settings
  • Comfort working with high school-age students and young adults (ages 18-22)
  • Ability to adapt interventions to meet a variety of educational and functional needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with educators, students, and families
  • Dedication to fostering student independence and inclusion

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group OT services for high school and 18-22-year-old students
  • Assess student abilities and develop measurable goals and intervention plans
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure optimal student outcomes
  • Track progress, maintain thorough records, and provide timely documentation
  • Promote functional skills in areas such as self-care, mobility, and executive functioning
  • Participate in IEP and transition planning meetings as needed
