Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid OT license for the state of Delaware (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Experience delivering occupational therapy in schools, home health, or healthcare settings
  • Strong background in pediatric and adolescent therapy, ideally within a school environment
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to interact with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Competence in developing and implementing IEP goals
  • Commitment to fostering independence and functional skills in students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
  • Assess students’ functional abilities and needs through evaluations and observations
  • Develop individualized intervention plans targeting school-based skill development
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to implement therapy strategies
  • Monitor and document progress, providing updates as needed for IEP meetings
  • Support students in both classroom and home environments as required
  • Stay current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy
