Opportunities are available in the following school sites:
- Lancashire and Maple Lane Elementary Schools (split caseload)
- Mount Pleasant Elementary
- Middle and High School (split caseload)
Key Qualifications:
- Current Delaware Occupational Therapist license required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong collaboration skills with educators and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with IEPs and student documentation in an educational environment
- Ability to work independently and across multiple school sites as needed
- Must provide updated resume for consideration
- Applicants must complete $85 CBC fingerprinting at personal expense and must confirm acknowledgment and consent prior to submission
- Open only to OTs; applications from COTAs cannot be accepted for these positions
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments, direct interventions, and consultative services
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with special education teams
- Maintain detailed and compliant student records, progress reports, and IEP documentation
- Support students in acquiring fine motor, adaptive, and self-care skills necessary for classroom participation
- Engage with families and school staff to ensure comprehensive care for each student
