Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) in Delaware
- Previous experience working in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized OT treatment plans
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Collaboration and consultation abilities with teachers, families, and other school staff
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments of students referred for OT services
- Develop goals and treatment plans that support students’ educational needs
- Implement therapeutic interventions to address fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
- Work as part of an IEP team, contribute expertise for student planning
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Consult with teachers and staff to adapt and modify classroom environments
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
