Occupational Therapist School Setting in New Haven, CT

Step into an exciting opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting a close-knit educational community in a charming, private school setting. Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid OTR/L certification required; current state license in Occupational Therapy
• Experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare settings preferred
• Skilled in providing therapy both within healthcare and home health models
• Confidence managing caseloads as the primary OT in a school environment
• Comfortable working collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to 8–9 students on caseload
• Evaluate, develop, and implement treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs and IEP goals
• Maintain thorough records and progress reports in accordance with school and state standards
• Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents to ensure holistic student support
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
• Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for students’ motor, sensory, and adaptive skill development
