Step into an exciting opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting a close-knit educational community in a charming, private school setting. This contract position offers the chance to work onsite, making a positive impact on a small yet vibrant student population. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year, with confirmed Extended School Year (ESY) hours and the possibility for renewal.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid OTR/L certification required; current state license in Occupational Therapy
- Experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare settings preferred
- Skilled in providing therapy both within healthcare and home health models
- Confidence managing caseloads as the primary OT in a school environment
- Comfortable working collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to 8–9 students on caseload
- Evaluate, develop, and implement treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs and IEP goals
- Maintain thorough records and progress reports in accordance with school and state standards
- Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents to ensure holistic student support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for students’ motor, sensory, and adaptive skill development
