Qualifications & Experience Desired:

  • Current Occupational Therapy license in North Carolina
  • Certification as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience or strong interest in working within elementary, middle, and high school environments
  • Understanding of school-based evaluations, IEPs, and student documentation requirements
  • Effective communication skills with students, families, and education professionals
  • Ability to manage a diverse student caseload and adapt interventions to fit varied needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and strengths
  • Develop and implement targeted OT interventions for physical, cognitive, and sensory-motor skills
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal-setting
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records per school and professional standards
  • Provide consultative support to teachers and staff to generalize therapeutic strategies
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages growth and independence
