Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist (OT) license in New York State
  • Previous experience working in school settings, with knowledge of IEP processes and delivering therapy services to students
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Strong organizational skills and resourcefulness
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exhibiting professionalism

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEP or 504 plans
  • Assess student needs and develop or adjust goals to promote independence and participation in school routines
  • Work with educational teams to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed
  • Document all services and student progress in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Communicate positively and regularly with staff and caregivers to ensure coordinated support
