Qualifications

• Current certification in Occupational Therapy
• Experience working with students spanning Kindergarten through Grade 12
• Strong understanding of best practices for serving students on the autism spectrum
• Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and adapt to varied learning needs
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with both school teams and families
• Passion for fostering student growth and adapting to new challenges

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students with autism in elementary, middle, and high school
• Evaluate, assess, and document students’ abilities and progress
• Work closely with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies
• Create and adjust individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Share regular updates with caregivers to encourage ongoing progress
• Utilize creative approaches to support sensory, motor, and functional skills within the school environment
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all students
