Grades 9 - 12 Grades 6 - 8 Occupational Therapist School Setting in New York, NY

Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students with autism, ages 5-21, in a school-based setting near New York, NY. This position offers a chance to provide valuable occupational therapy services from now through the end of the school year (anticipated through June 2026). You'll work collaboratively with educators and families to help students in grades K-12 develop the skills they need to succeed in both academic and social settings.

Key Qualifications:

• Active OT certification and licensure required
• Experience serving students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Familiarity with providing occupational therapy supports for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders
• Commitment to working the full term of the contract (ASAP through June 2026)
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Ability to develop and adapt individualized treatment plans that address students’ unique sensory and motor needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions tailored to students’ IEP goals
• Conduct assessments and reassessments as needed for students aged 5-21
• Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, and other staff on integrated supports
• Document services and progress notes in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
• Engage families with progress updates and home strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions
