Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Maryland or eligibility to obtain prior to the start date
  • Previous experience working in schools or pediatric settings is preferred
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to assess, develop, and implement therapy plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Comfortable working with IEPs and supporting students with a range of abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled occupational therapy services to students as indicated in their educational plans
  • Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings to help determine therapy needs and goals
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment
  • Document progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with families and team members
  • Support student success by promoting independence in daily school activities
