Occupational Therapist School Setting - Newark, NJ

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for New Jersey
• Demonstrated experience working in school-based or pediatric settings
• Strong understanding of IEP documentation, implementation, and case management
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational setting

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Evaluate students’ needs and strengths to develop individualized intervention plans
• Deliver targeted therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to optimize classroom participation and learning
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal-setting
• Provide guidance and resources to families regarding at-home strategies
• Support integration of assistive technology and classroom modifications as necessary
