Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience delivering OT services in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, families, and students
- Familiarity with IEPs, goal setting, and documentation processes
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
- Dedication to fostering student independence, participation, and success
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions within school settings, both individually and in groups
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to ensure coordinated care and consistent progress monitoring
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to creating supportive, inclusive educational plans
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and timely communication with all stakeholders
- Promote skill development in areas such as fine and gross motor function, sensory processing, and adaptive behavior
