Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to student-centered service and individualized therapy plans

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ needs and develop customized treatment plans to enhance participation in school activities
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students with diverse abilities
• Document progress, maintain compliance with IEP/504 plans, and contribute to eligibility meetings
• Collaborate with classroom staff and families to emphasize carry-over of therapeutic strategies
• Participate in team meetings and offer professional insight for ongoing student support
• Provide training and resources to school personnel to promote positive student outcomes
