Qualifications & Skills:
- Active educator certification in Occupational Therapy required
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably in a K–8 setting
- Strong understanding of school-based OT practices and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to meet varying student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students enrolled in the charter school, supporting their academic and social development
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with educators and families in a multi-disciplinary approach to address functional, sensory, and motor skill development
- Provide training and resources to staff and caregivers to reinforce carryover of strategies in classroom and home settings
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to school-based therapy services
