In this contract position, you'll support students' growth and success through personalized care, assessments, and intervention plans. You'll work alongside educators and staff in a collaborative setting near North Bennington, VT, helping students overcome challenges and reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Vermont (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
  • Collaborative spirit and a passion for fostering student progress

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ abilities using standardized assessments and observations
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to set goals and measure progress
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services for students to target fine motor, sensory, and academic-related skills
  • Document services, progress, and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to development of student educational plans
  • Stay informed on best practices in school-based occupational therapy
