Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Vermont (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
- Collaborative spirit and a passion for fostering student progress
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ abilities using standardized assessments and observations
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to set goals and measure progress
- Provide direct and consultative OT services for students to target fine motor, sensory, and academic-related skills
- Document services, progress, and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to development of student educational plans
- Stay informed on best practices in school-based occupational therapy
