This contract role offers a chance to make a real impact throughout the academic year, fostering student growth and success while collaborating with dedicated educational teams.
This onsite-only position spans the full school year, from August 11, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. You'll work across multiple school sites, engaging with a diverse caseload of at least 40 students, using your expertise to promote functional skills, independence, and participation in the classroom.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, goal writing, and progress monitoring
- Adaptable and flexible to thrive while supporting multiple campuses
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and treatments as indicated in students’ IEPs
- Develop and implement individualized plans to support students’ access to curriculum and functional life skills
- Document treatment and progress, participating actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
- Offer consultation and collaborate with teachers and school teams to integrate strategies in the classroom
- Travel locally between assigned school sites as needed to serve your full caseload
