Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Nevada is required.
- Proficiency in fine motor and gross motor skill development.
- Experience with COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) collaboration is a plus.
- Previous work in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued, though not mandatory.
- Background in teletherapy is beneficial, but primary responsibilities are onsite.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with students, staff, and families.
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to fostering student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized plans to support students' needs.
- Deliver direct therapy services targeting fine and gross motor development.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, and other support staff.
- Provide guidance and supervision to COTAs as required.
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Engage with IEP (Individualized Education Program) teams to support program development and monitor progress.
- Act as a resource for staff and parents regarding occupational therapy strategies and accommodations.
