You’ll make a direct impact by utilizing your occupational therapy expertise alongside a collaborative team, focusing on both fine and gross motor skill development.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current Nevada State Occupational Therapist license required
  • Competency in school-based OT, OT in healthcare, home health, and teletherapy settings
  • Experience with fine and gross motor intervention strategies
  • Background working with or supervising COTAs beneficial
  • Previous school setting experience highly valued, though not strictly necessary
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students according to IEP goals
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and report findings to multi-disciplinary teams
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that foster students’ independence and maximize participation in school activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure generalization and carryover of skills across environments
  • Document services and maintain compliance with all state and federal education requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise to support student progress
