Occupational Therapist School Setting in North Richland Hills, TX

Qualifications & Required Experience:

• Current Occupational Therapist (OTR) license through the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)
• Previous school-based OT experience preferred
• Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and goal setting for students with diverse abilities
• Effective communication skills—to interact with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability to serve varying caseloads and grade levels based on evolving needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and deliver direct therapy services for K-12 students as outlined in IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student independence and success in classroom routines
• Develop individualized treatment plans and regularly monitor progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Document all services and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and offer training or resources to staff and families when appropriate
