Key Qualifications:
- Active state licensure and certification to practice Occupational Therapy
- Experience providing OT services in school settings strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEPs, goal setting, and documentation
- Ability to assess, develop, and adapt therapeutic interventions
- Excellent communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, creativity, and flexibility in approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ strengths, challenges, and needs through assessments
- Deliver individualized and group OT sessions to help students develop fine motor, sensory, self-care, and adaptive skills
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and caregivers on strategies to enhance student participation and success
- Track progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Provide consultations and training for school staff as needed
- Utilize evidence-based practices and adjust interventions to promote engagement and learning
