Key Qualifications:

  • Active state licensure and certification to practice Occupational Therapy
  • Experience providing OT services in school settings strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEPs, goal setting, and documentation
  • Ability to assess, develop, and adapt therapeutic interventions
  • Excellent communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Compassion, creativity, and flexibility in approach

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ strengths, challenges, and needs through assessments
  • Deliver individualized and group OT sessions to help students develop fine motor, sensory, self-care, and adaptive skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and caregivers on strategies to enhance student participation and success
  • Track progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Provide consultations and training for school staff as needed
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and adjust interventions to promote engagement and learning
