School Occupational Therapist | Norwich, Connecticut

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students in a vibrant Autism program for the 2026-2027 school year. This school-based role is conveniently located near Norwich, CT and will serve five classrooms across three different buildings, working directly with approximately 50 students. The position is part-time, Monday through Friday, with a total of 22.5 hours each week. We are seeking either one Occupational Therapist (OT) or two Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to provide essential services.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Experience working in school settings highly preferred
• Background supporting students with autism spectrum disorder or developmental delays is a plus
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with teachers, aides, and other school staff
• Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs
• Commitment to fostering growth, independence, and skill development in young learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy to students in dedicated elementary Autism program classrooms
• Collaborate with classroom staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Document progress, participate in meetings, and contribute insights for student development
• Travel between multiple school buildings within the district as required
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and therapeutic environment for students
