Occupational Therapist School Setting in Novato, CA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in California (or eligibility)
• Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting strongly preferred
• Proficient in administering assessments, developing IEP goals, and documenting progress
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities
• Collaborative, resourceful, and adaptable within diverse school cultures

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations of students’ motor skills and sensory needs
• Design and deliver individualized therapy sessions to support students in accessing curriculum and school activities
• Develop effective intervention strategies in alignment with IEPs and educational goals
• Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to recommend accommodations and classroom modifications
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress, session notes, and communication
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the educational team for holistic student support
