Occupational Therapist School Setting - Oak Park, IL

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current, valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Experience working in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Knowledge of IEPs, assessments, and intervention strategies for school-aged children
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Positive, proactive approach to collaboration with educators and families

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver therapy services tailored to each child’s unique needs, both in one-on-one and group settings
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
• Support the development of fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes to ensure compliance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to educational plans
