Occupational Therapist School Setting in Oakland, CA

Your strong clinical background in school-based occupational therapy services will help nurture developmental, functional, and academic success for learners with varying needs. You’ll play a vital role in collaboration and student advocacy, while working in welcoming educational environments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active state licensure and credentials for Occupational Therapy
• Prior experience in school-based OT settings, serving preschool through middle school preferred
• Proficiency in assessments, IEP development, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication skills for partnering with families, educators, and support staff
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for working across two school locations
• Ability to manage a caseload of around 35 students efficiently and compassionately

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans
• Provide direct intervention services in both individual and group settings
• Support students with fine motor, sensory processing, and self-regulation skills
• Complete necessary documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to ensure student success
• Travel between assigned sites as needed
