School Occupational Therapist - Oakland, California

This contract position is perfect for an Occupational Therapist eager to make a meaningful impact across a diverse K-12 caseload. Full-time hours are available, with an immediate start date. The assignment runs for four months and is a fantastic opportunity for the 2025-2026 school year.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California
• Experience working with school-aged children or within K-12 school settings
• Expertise in evaluating, planning, and delivering OT services tailored to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt interventions for students across various ages and abilities
• Commitment to professional, ethical practice within educational settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive OT assessments and direct therapy to students in kindergarten through 12th grade
• Develop and implement personalized interventions that promote student engagement and success in the classroom and beyond
• Support teachers, staff, and families with strategies, resources, and training to enhance students’ access to curriculum
• Document progress, update IEPs, and contribute to team meetings as an invested part of the educational team
• Participate in ongoing collaboration with special education staff and related service providers
