Occupational Therapist School Setting - Oakland, CA

This full-time role starts ASAP and extends through the 2025-2026 school year, offering the chance to provide essential occupational therapy services to a broad K-12 caseload. Over the course of four months, you’ll work alongside dedicated educators and make a lasting impact on students’ daily lives and educational journeys.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active OT licensure in California
• Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
• Familiarity with both individual and group therapy delivery in K-12 settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to organize and document services efficiently
• Adaptability and a student-centered mindset

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive abilities in classroom and school environments
• Develop tailored treatment plans to support students’ academic progress and participation
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into students’ individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Document assessments, progress notes, and intervention results in line with school policies
• Offer consultation and training to staff for implementing effective accommodations
• Foster an encouraging atmosphere that supports student growth and independence
