Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in California
  • Previous school-based OT experience preferred
  • Familiarity with home health OT practices
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience developing and implementing IEP goals is a plus
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with educators, families, and caregivers

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to determine their functional abilities and needs in school and home settings
  • Design, implement, and adjust individualized therapy plans to help students achieve IEP goals and daily living skills
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, holistic support
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and legal standards
  • Provide training and guidance for school staff and families on assistive technology and adaptive strategies
  • Travel between sites as required to meet with students in various settings
