Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of California
- Prior experience delivering occupational therapy services in school settings is highly desired
- Ability to assess and develop individualized treatment plans for students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Strong collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine their functional abilities and areas of need within an educational setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and therapy interventions
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to children and adolescents with diverse backgrounds and needs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with staff to support inclusive educational practices
- Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, progress notes, and outcome measures
- Provide resources and training to teachers and family members to enhance carryover of skills
