Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of California
  • Prior experience delivering occupational therapy services in school settings is highly desired
  • Ability to assess and develop individualized treatment plans for students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Strong collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to determine their functional abilities and areas of need within an educational setting
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and therapy interventions
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to children and adolescents with diverse backgrounds and needs
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with staff to support inclusive educational practices
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, progress notes, and outcome measures
  • Provide resources and training to teachers and family members to enhance carryover of skills
