Working 37.5 hours each week from August 18th through the end of December (with a strong possibility of extension), you’ll bring your occupational therapy expertise to a vibrant educational setting near Oceanside, California. In this school-based role, you’ll play an essential part in helping students reach their potential—particularly those who are medically fragile—while collaborating closely with teachers, families, and other professionals.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Valid, current Occupational Therapist license (California required)
  • Minimum one year of prior school-based OT experience
  • Comfort and skill working with medically fragile children
  • Excellent communication abilities with staff, students, and families
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive, collaborative school environment

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide high-quality OT assessments and interventions for elementary students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on functional life skills
  • Collaborate with general and special education teachers to integrate therapeutic supports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary planning
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student progress and session notes
  • Adapt therapy techniques and materials for students with significant medical needs
