Apply NowStep into a dynamic school-based environment and make a meaningful difference as a licensed Occupational Therapist working with elementary students. This onsite contract opportunity provides the chance to support young learners across several elementary campuses, fostering growth and independence in students with diverse needs.
You will work closely with an engaged team and have the benefit of full-time support from a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), streamlining intervention and maximizing student success. The caseload consists of approximately 80 students, offering variety and the chance to see your impact throughout the school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California OT license and certification required
- Previous experience in an elementary school setting strongly preferred
- Competence in assessment, goal development, and IEP documentation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working across multiple sites
- Passion for promoting student independence and functional skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for interventions and accommodations
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy into student routines
- Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in team meetings
- Collaborate with and help guide a full-time COTA supporting your case load
