Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students and young adults as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational setting. This contract role provides an opportunity to work hands-on with a diverse 18-22 year-old caseload, fostering growth and independence in both academic and life skills. Set in a supportive school environment near Odessa, DE, you’ll enjoy a balanced, three-day workweek (Tuesday through Thursday), offering both professional challenge and personal flexibility.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering skilled occupational therapy to high-school students and young adults (ages 18-22), adapting interventions based on individual needs
  • Conducting assessments, developing individualized plans of care, and collaborating with teachers and other specialists to maximize student outcomes
  • Documenting progress, maintaining compliance with all necessary reports and IEP documentation
  • Engaging with parents, guardians, and school personnel to promote generalization of skills
  • Actively participating in student-focused meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Attending orientation/set-up on 7/6/26; working in-person from 7/7/26 to 8/6/26 (weekday schedule: Tuesday-Thursday)
  • Adapting to staff hours that may vary slightly depending on building assignment

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in the state
  • Experience in school-based OT settings; comfort engaging with transition-age youth and adolescents
  • Familiarity with Home Health or Healthcare OT principles, with the ability to tailor techniques for the educational context
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Dedication to supporting independence, motor skills, and participation for students with varied needs
  • Must be available for in-person work only (no remote options)
