This position offers a unique schedule, working 3.5 days each week, giving you extended flexibility and balance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for practice in Michigan
- Previous experience or clinical training in a K-12 educational setting preferred
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and school documentation protocols
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability and creative problem-solving abilities with diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom activities
- Maintain thorough records, progress reports, and timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff consultations
- Provide training and resources to school staff and families as needed
