Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the vibrant Kansas City area. This role offers a unique blend of autonomy and impactful service, working across several schools – including Camber, Bridges Academy, New Chelsea Elementary, Emerson Elementary, and Welborn Elementary – with a student caseload of 50-60. As the Occupational Therapist, you will have the freedom to create your own daily schedule, typically visiting one to three schools per day, allowing you to tailor your workflow to suit your style and maximize the support you provide.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid and active Kansas OT licensure required
  • Experience with pediatric or school-based occupational therapy is preferred
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple sites and caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and evaluations for students across multiple school sites
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educational teams
  • Monitor student progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to optimize student outcomes in both academic and functional areas
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines
