Immerse yourself in Olympia, WA—a vibrant destination where lush forests, mountain views, and coastal charm are always within reach. Living and working here introduces you to the region’s unique culture and history, along with easy access to outdoor recreation and the arts. Whether you’re enjoying the local food scene, exploring the trails, or planning weekend getaways to the coast or Seattle, you’ll find Olympia to be a fantastic base for personal and professional adventures.

Throughout the school year (August 31 - June 17), you will engage with students in two dynamic environments: a Montessori-influenced K-12 campus for home school students attending classes, and a bustling elementary school. This variety provides valuable exposure to different educational models and leadership styles, enhancing your clinical and collaborative skills. With a 30-hour workweek (.8 FTE), you’ll have the ideal balance between purposeful work and ample time to explore the Pacific Northwest.

What we’re looking for:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school or pediatric settings
  • Familiarity with IEPs, assessments, and therapeutic intervention for diverse student populations
  • Effective communicator with adaptability and initiative
  • Commitment to in-person engagement throughout the contract

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Conduct individualized student assessments and implement interventions
  • Collaborate with educational teams, teachers, and families
  • Serve K-12 home school students in a Montessori setting, as well as students at a local elementary school
  • Document progress and support the development of student therapy plans

What you’ll enjoy:

  • Non-taxable stipends and dedicated travel support
  • Premium compensation for your expertise
  • Healthcare benefits and 401(k) for security and wellness
  • A long-term contract through the 26-27 school year
  • Unique career-boosting experience you can add to your resume
