Occupational Therapist School Setting in Onancock, VA

Qualifications/Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid state OT license or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
• Successful completion of fieldwork specific to pediatrics or school settings preferred
• Experience with IEP documentation and multidisciplinary collaboration is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students in group and individual settings
• Develop, implement, and update individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Assess students’ functional abilities and create targeted intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to promote students’ success
• Maintain accurate and timely records, reporting on progress and adapting plans when necessary
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring
• Provide training and guidance to staff and families to support students’ ongoing development
