This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide occupational therapy services within a K-12 school environment located in Opelika, AL. The role primarily involves supporting one homebound student, allowing for focused and meaningful intervention. This part-time contract position runs from the start of the school year (ASAP) through the end of the school year (EOSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services tailored to the unique needs of a homebound student
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in team meetings as needed to ensure integrated support for the student
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to develop and implement therapy plans that promote student independence and academic success
- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with students, families, and school staff
- Comfortable managing a caseload focused on homebound services
