Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a part-time Occupational Therapist serving students from PreK through 12th grade for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This flexible role ensures a manageable caseload of 13-14 students and provides an excellent environment to make a genuine difference for learners of all ages and developmental stages.
Key Details:
- Part-time schedule: 1 day per month, 7.5 hours each session
- Contract duration: August 10, 2026 – May 13, 2027
- Supervision required: Oversee and support a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Caseload: 13-14 students, diverse ages and abilities
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Arizona
- Experience in school-based OT practice preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Previous supervision experience with a COTA is a plus
- Commitment to supporting the unique needs of students from PreK through high school
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide individualized OT services for students in accordance with IEP goals
- Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with an assigned COTA to ensure high-quality therapy delivery
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation for compliance and student progress tracking
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate strategies that promote student participation in educational activities
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing expert OT insights
