Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills within the educational environment
- Design and implement personalized occupational therapy interventions to meet IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop strategies that foster student progress
- Document student progress and prepare reports for meetings and compliance purposes
- Provide consultation to staff to promote accessibility and participation in classroom activities
