Occupational Therapist School Setting in Orono, ME

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist serving K-12 students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program this July. Work just two mornings each week, choosing your preferred days between Tuesday and Thursday for maximum flexibility.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Maine
• Recent experience in school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
• Comfortable working with students across K-12 grade levels
• Ability to tailor therapy strategies to support diverse needs and help students reach their IEP goals
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students in alignment with IEPs
• Perform assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for varying student needs
• Document student progress and adjust therapy as necessary
• Consult with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic interventions in the classroom
• Participate in IEP meetings as required and communicate effectively with families
