Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist serving K-12 students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program this July. Located near Orono, ME, this role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact over the summer in an educational setting. Work just two mornings each week, choosing your preferred days between Tuesday and Thursday for maximum flexibility.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Maine
- Recent experience in school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with students across K-12 grade levels
- Ability to tailor therapy strategies to support diverse needs and help students reach their IEP goals
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students in alignment with IEPs
- Perform assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for varying student needs
- Document student progress and adjust therapy as necessary
- Consult with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic interventions in the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings as required and communicate effectively with families
