School Occupational Therapist - Orono, Maine

Qualified candidates for this position should have:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with pediatric populations, ideally in a school setting
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet diverse student needs

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments and evaluations of students to determine individualized therapy needs
• Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and families
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to promote fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
• Maintaining thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary teams
• Providing training or support to school staff and caregivers as needed
