Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of current best practices in OT interventions for school-aged children
- Organized, adaptable, and passionate about student progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ functional, sensory, and motor needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Deliver direct therapy sessions and consultative services to students with varying abilities
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to support student achievement
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input to guide educational planning
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and classroom modifications when needed
