Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current, valid Occupational Therapist licensure in California
  • Experience working with children in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of educationally relevant OT practices
  • Ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop effective, individualized IEP goals
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for teaming with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff
  • Flexible, resourceful, and compassionate approach with students of varied backgrounds and needs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver OT services for elementary-aged students according to IEP mandates
  • Complete screenings and evaluations to determine therapy needs and interventions
  • Provide direct and consultative therapy in individual, small group, and classroom settings
  • Develop and implement treatment plans focused on skills such as fine motor development, sensory processing, self-regulation, and activities of daily living
  • Maintain clear documentation, progress reports, and communication with school staff and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings, consultations, and ongoing collaborative problem-solving for student cases
