Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with valid certification in the state.
  • Prior experience in a school environment is highly valued.
  • Comfortable working with K-12 students across diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to maintain effective relationships with staff, families, and students.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to their IEP goals.
  • Conduct assessments and create comprehensive reports for students’ access to educational programming.
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights on student progress and program modifications.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required by school policies and special education guidelines.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering training and support for classroom adaptations.
